Country Clipper, joystick, 52", 25 hp Kawasaki for a "great deal" (WELL under 6k).

Joystick sold it. Dad is over 70, "small frame", and the neighbors twinstick ZTR just wore his shoulders out.

He tried the joystick on the CC and loved it (myself as well).

I owe alot to Brian here and some others who have the CC.

Wasn't even considering this mower at first, but after checking them out, and most important, my dad, who will love using it.

Will need a tractor in the near future for the land out in the back, and the price "help sell me" as well.

Thanks to everyone for thier feedback.

Sig,

Congrats on your new ZTR!!!!

You did get a great price.

I tried several ZTR's and after I got thoroughly confused on all the little specs (which I finally figured out that they're all pretty close to the same for residential applications), for me it came down to capabilities on hills and convenience items. The CC then becomes very attractive with the joystick and flip-up deck.

Enjoy!
Brian

Awesome! Congrats! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

A 52X25 for "Well under 6K" sounds like you found spectacular deal. Regional differences could play a lot, but the only way I got the Snapper down to my price was an 04 that had a few demo hours on it [paint never even wore off the blade tips though], and let him demo it the next weekend too.

Which model was that anyway? Those Clippers sure have some nice features. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It may have been someone else's, but I just remembered a thread where I recall it was you asking whether you needed a tractor or a ZTR......seems like there was a least a disenting opinion if not majority who thought you needed both! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Almost brings a tear to my eye when someone finds the right tool for the job! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Actually, it brings many tears when I'm not using the right tool...... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thks

Actually, this model had 12 hours on it (demo as well), but for "WELL" under 6k, for the hp and deck, I couldn't pass it up.

Country CLipper Charger was the model.

First full night tonight, and extremely (sp?) happy with it. Seems harder for me to "tear up" some grass with this mower than my neighbors ZTR.

LOTS of "power", extremely fast to the point that I do have to slow down or it seems like I can get "air" /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, I will be getting a tractor in the future. Figure for the price of this ZTR, I can "throw" some "extra" money into a larger tactror down the road.

For the amount of time that it took me to do my lawn, I'm extrememly (sp?) happy.

Now, need to figure out how to post pic's.

Again, thanks for all the feedback from my previous threads.

AND...if you are looking for a ZTR, at least check out the Country Clipper. Seems to be a "sleeper" brand that not a lot of people have heard of.

I believe the name "Country Clipper" is new but they've been around for a long time.
Here's an excerpt from their home page www.countryclipper.com

"Country Clipper has engineered, designed, and built zero-turn radius mowers for nearly 20 years. Over the past two decades we have manufactured tens of thousands of professional grade zero-turn mowers for companies such as Snapper™*, Yazoo™*, Dixon™*, and Bush Hog™*. Now we build them exclusively for you."

Great Pictures! The Charger.....I'd say you did awsome; /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif if you would have said Zeton, I would have asked if 5K is the going rate for hired burglery! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Actually, just glancing at the website, I don't see much difference between the two at that!

12 hours! Absolutely perfect. I'd say you did things right: did enough research to know about what you wanted and needed then waited for the right deal. I think you'll be very happy with your machine. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
