Thought I would put a link here thinking it might help someone else who is needing "how to" information on dirt work.

I was looking on the net for Information on how to properly cut ditches for a roadway when I came across the Army Field Manual for Earthmoving Operations. It is 202 pages in a PDF file (3.22 MB) and is in the public domain. Info on most dirt work topics.

Thought the link could help some other members, glad I posted it. The text is easy to understand and drawings are worth a thousand words. I don't have a grader but the rear blade has enough adjustments that cutting ditches should be no problem. Just might take longer.

Thanks for the link. Those Army field manuals are great. I have my dad's Army field manual for demolition from WWII. It shows how to move earth, too.

Glad you checked that website out better than I did. I just googled the earthmoving operations manual and stopped there. Would have missed all that other good info. Thanks
