Are rural king tractors yanmars?

I hate it when a salesman runs over to me when I'm looking. If I need to buy something, I can walk to a staff member and ask.

I've worked in so many dealerships becuase i've been working for 43 years.

Hummer was a GM division, like pontiac, oldmobile and saturn. ALL were shut down.

Saab was bought by NEVS and they said they'd be making saabs in 13..nada. Now they say 18. We'll see. So far there have been no saabs for 6 years. Warranty work and service is done where? At least wtih old/pontiac/saturn other GM dealers could do the service.

I saw about half the motorcycle dealers close (well, they lost their franchises, more than one brand did it) a few years back. Been out of the bike industry since 2001 so don' tknow what the circumstances were. One of the dealer I worked for was the largest suzuki/yamaha/kawa/husky in the USA - and they too are closed.

There are no guarantees.

Obvious you are a bitter socialist. In actuality, as economic structures evolve, the strong survive, the weak not so much.

Not difficult to understand that any business where you were employeed would be susceptible to closure, just thankful you were not employed at a major stock exchange.

Poorly run companies do not deserve a lifeline for survival, you live under a dark cloud, seeking excuses for self induced economic failures.

You neglected to self epitomize why 90+ percent of new pizza endeavors fail miserably. You erroneously expect the private sector to subsidize, support and reward bad brhavior,

Perhaps you feel the government should adopt failed business? We already have sufficient corporate welfare w/ banks that are too big to fail or
GE which pay almost zero taxes and manufacturers almost all their goods overseas with only administrative offices in the US.

Perhaps your list of defunct business are victims but many are victims of their own self- destruction.

If in your career, you managed to substitute self motivation with a healthy dose of self pity, you might have had an opportunity to label your life endeavors a success, but no, your are simply mired in a dismal history of failed decisions.

Saabs are being reintroduced in certain countries. Seems doubtful they will reappear in the U.S. anytime soon. The last Saab year available in the U.S. is 2011.

Service/parts: Most former Saab dealers retain some Saab-trained mechanics, tools, and parts. I have no problem getting service done at either of the two former Saab dealers in my area. Saab parts are also readily available at Saab Parts (Saab Original) Also, Saab offers free online resources, specs, manuals, and other support to any mechanic who needs to work on a Saab.

This isn't about Saab or any other company mentioned. It is about aligning the self pity. This is a list of closures and failures with which this person identifies. Those failures a crutch to ease the pain of dealing w/ his own dissapointments. They failed, so it is legitimate he failed as well


It is misery loves company personified.

It is about seeing "chicken little" and "glasses half-empty" in their every vision. Personally I find it simply depressing to be around folks that espouse "doom and gloom" w/ every syllable,

Yes there are negative aspects in life but if this is the concentration of one's focus, you will miss all the positive economic and social benefits the folks w/ the "glass half full" enjoy on a daily basis.


There is an instrument which bares the truth, where the mask of disingenuous concealment of the actual facts is torn away, it is the proverbial mirror, mirror on the wall.

No, it's about buying a store-branded tractor from a store that twice in the past decade stopped selling tractors or changed brands.

It's a kubota dealer..no a deere dealer..no a new holland dealer...if a local dealer did that you'd be questioning why they kept changing brands. Can't make a buck? can't stick to the contract with the brand? Something else?

As for pizza shops - most folks that decide to open one do no market research (true for many small businesses). Is there demand for the product? How much and at what price? What are the costs involved in opening the biz, running the biz, marketing the biz?

Franchises do much better for one big reason - you must have a pile of cash on hand before they'll let you have a franchise - cash flow is king and all businesses are seasonal, have ups and downs, etc and if you lack the cash reserves to weather a slow month you won't be around long.

What I find interesting is Sears was KING. They had a big catalog entity (as did JCPenney). Yet BOTH failed miserably in adapting to the internet sales that many stores are doing well with now. Sears had lots of smart people, survived MANY economic turns and challenges - yet didn't succeed in the end. Proof that any biz can fail, no matter how successful they are/were.

Radio Shack was another that failed - but was once very successful. Smart people made the biz, grew the biz - they didn't suddenly become idiots.

I would assume the RK tractors are good machines - i've heard good things about TYM. But to expect long term support from RK isn't the smart bet. And when RK drops their tractors it's not like your local Kubota dealer closing - another is down the road. There isn't another RK down the road that will still be servicing the tractors. TYM dealers will - but will the honor the warranty? Since the RK warranty is longer than they've sold any one brand of tractor common sense says it's a factor a person should consider.
