Sloeffle,
You missed the point. TYM or any mfg DOES NOT owe you pricing explanations. Kubota, deere, yanmar price their products according to what their customer base is willing to pay.

LS, TYM, RK, kioti desire to attract some of that market share, The primary option to accomplish this is More for Less. 8 year warranty is not offered for inferior products.

If you want to spend more, by all means, DO SO. Japanese labor costs are more than the korean market. Compact tractors are very profitable.

If a mfg reduces profit to induce sales, that is NOT reflective of the quality.

It is your archaic rational that supports an inflated pricing structure for the market leaders.

All, We don't normally jump into discussions regarding our tractors unless we see substantial inaccurate information or someone asks a specific question that we are best positioned to answer. Not interested in having a presence on any other brand's forum, but a Tractorbynet user brought this thread to our attention and we'd like to respond with some details that may clear things up for everyone.

1. RK Tractors are made by TYM to RK specs. Little known fact is that TYM is the second largest manufacturer of under 60HP tractors sold in the U.S., behind only Kubota. The operative word is manufacturer; TYM makes many more tractors for other brands than it does its own. To be inside the industry is to know who makes what. You'd be surprised by who does and does not make their own under 60HP tractors.

2. RK Tractors range from 19 to 74HP. All but the 74 have Yanmar Tier IV engines in them, the sames engines in fact that are in Deere's under 60HP tractors. Yanmar supplies the engines to TYM, they have no other affiliation with RK Tractors other than we purchase parts and receive service training from Yanmar USA. The RK74 has a Tier 4 Deutz engine in it.

3. RK Tractors are sold exclusively through our own Rural King stores. There are 40 RK Tractor stores today, that number will extend to all Rural King stores in the near future.

4. All RK Tractors are premium spec, there are no tractor options to buy because everything is in the base machine. We have chosen to make our tractors as capable as possible and have our customers purchase things like rear remotes separately.

5. We get asked all the time how we can sell RK Tractors far below the prices of competitors. Very simple. We buy direct from the tractor manufacturer and sell directly to the tractor user, not dealers. We are the only brand that does that.

6. All RK Tractors come with the longest powertrain warranty in the industry; 8 years, parts & labor included, no deductible. So many brands claim that their warranty is longer. None are. We will open our third tractor assembly center this fall, feature service at every RK Tractor store and operate a fleet of service trucks manned by highly skilled service techs.

7. All tire and wheel assemblies are made by Titan. Frankly, the discussion about how many holes are in the wheels is a head-scratcher. Tractor manufacturers don't design their products to fail. If it has six holes, that's the optimum design for that wheel.

8. RK Tractors is the fastest growing brand of under 60HP tractors sold in the U.S. We are not able to provide specific volume, but our biggest issue these days is getting tractors built fast enough to keep up with demand.

Hope that information helps. Again, we do not cruise these forums because some users are in fact competitors, and it is not our practice to enter into debates with anyone. We let our company and our tractors speak for themselves.

RK Tractors: More Tractor. Less Price.

RK Tractors

Thank you.

Please post pictures of TYM, Kioti, and LS tractors with over 2k hours on them ? Along with those pictures, I'd be interested to know what the service history is. I can walk around "my neighborhood" and find ten's if not hundreds of Cases's, JD's, Kubota's and Yanmar's ( green painted Yanmar's ) with over 2k hours.

My archaic rational tells me that these manufactures have built quality machines for hundreds of years and they will continue to build quality machines for hundreds of years in the future. I'm done responding to this thread because you are obviously correct and the rest of us just a bunch of bumbling buffoons who like to spend money.

@soundguy I apologize for the sending this thread to the toilet. You mention one thing you see different from the machine you bought and people see that as being a knock on that machine.

yes, but it looks like TYM targets a lower price point in the segment compared to Yanmar. There are going to be cuts here and there to hit that lower price target.
Then you would have to say that TYM is doing the SAME thing, they are the same tractor as a RK...

I think the RK is getting a deal on them and making less on each one to get established into the tractor world...

TYM USA buys tractors from TYM Korea and then sells those tractors to TYM dealers. TYM Dealers then sell to tractor buyers. RK buys RK Tractors from TYM Korea and sells direct to tractor buyers. Cuts out the middle man so to speak. No mystery. That is why the price is low. RK Tractors are similar to TYM brand tractors, but RK Tractors have many more standard features. Don't want to enter into a debate, just presenting the correct information.

That is how it was explained to me by some one in TYM too... Buy them cheaper, sell them cheaper...

I hope you do well with them, it will REALLY be how committed you are to handle parts and service......especially a few years down the road..

Is that Titan Implement out of Decatur, TN? Thanks for commenting and adding details about the RK process.

As for the others discussion on different prices for similar machines. There are different ways to cut costs that might not be reflected in the build quality of the machine. That ranges from having fewer parts on hand for repairs at most dealers (or even at the manufacturer warehouse in the USA), advertising budget, large presence at farm shows, manual quality, etc. I see TV ads for Kubota and JD, but not for these smaller brands. The company I bought my tractor from should put a little more effort (money) into their website, whoever they are contracting it out to has some technical issues and doesn't always get the information correct. The JD website is very slick with 360ー views of the tractor with all the different options that you can customize.

TYM must be making a decent machine if they come with an 8 year warranty when branded RK, a 7 year (and 3000 hour) warranty when branded Mahindra, and even a 6 year warranty under their own TYM name.

That is the perception, but not nescisarily the case.

I would expect a small tractor to last one heck of a lot longer than 8 years. Dad's 30 something year old Kubota just recently had its first non-abuse failure, that was basically a seal failure in the front axle. I care more about getting a quality piece of equipment and good dealer suport. Lack of good dealer suport is why the new tractor is not a Kubota. I assume TYM makes a good tractor, but an 8 year waranty wouldn't be a huge selling feature to me. I would hope any manufacture could put an 8 year waranty on their product with very little added up front cost.
