Are Kiotis as solid as they used to be?

Let me guess; you took the C19 vaccine?
I was in the Army and I went overseas. They vaccinated me for diseases nobody has even heard of. It wasn't a choice. You stood in line and you got your shots. period

I did the first two Kung Flu vaccinations, The 2nd shot put me in bed for 3 days. That was fun :( But I told them to stuff the boosters.

The Wife and I had to travel that year. We wanted to go to our Hobby Farm (more like a Money Pit) in Michigan and certain States we had to travel through were like WWII Nazis. We were told. We did have to show our Vax papers a couple of times. Motels, IIRC.

Besides, it was scary. I'm in my 70's. If I get it, it's a Death Sentence. Lots of people my age were dying from it at the time. Lots of older people, (especially in certain States) were dying like crazy in Nursing Homes, etc. And they wouldn't even let their relatives in to take care of them!!

So, yeah, I got the first 2. I'm still here but I knew a lot of people who refused the shots that aren't. I'm not saying the Vax helped because I don't know for sure. But I think it did.

Got us through the first part of the Virus. I think the Virus has mutated into a less lethal form now. Like the Spanish Flu.

A virus is a living thing. It wants to stay that way, it wants to live. If it keeps killing all its hosts, it dies too. So it mutates into a form that is less lethal.

boring stuff

I won't undergo this demeaning procedure (colonoscopy) once every 5 years to detect early signs of colon cancer that could be nipped in the bud, but I will undergo coffee enemas up to 5 times per day for weeks, months, or years, once I have cancer that could have been prevented/detected/cured by finding it early with a colonoscopy.

Makes perfect sense.

"The Gerson diet is a strict low salt, organic fruit and vegetable diet.

Each day you will need to:

  • drink 20 pounds (about 9 kilos) of crushed fruit and vegetables (one glass of juice hourly, 13 times each day)
  • have up to 5 coffee enemas and perhaps also castor oil enemas
  • take potassium and other supplements, including vitamin B12, pancreatic enzymes and thyroid supplements"
But one colonoscopy is demeaning....

Kiotis are orange. That's about the only thing we can agree on.

Well I won’t further hijack this thread with this topic, but I will say that the procedure is not difficult at all, nor is recovery. But the 2 day prep is rough to be living on the toilet. And going out for a giant meal afterwards is a great treat.

It comes from Germany. Anything medical from Germany I view with a jaundiced eye.

The Homeopathy cult came from Germany, IIRC. (and I do)

A friend of mine..... My very best friend, in fact, bought into that crap. He tried to treat everything with some kind of magic potion or herbs, teas and extracts.

I have to admit, he was one of the healthiest people I'd ever know. Especially for his age (1 year younger than me and I'm older than dirt). Strong as an Ox. Big man. 6'3" 230lbs of solid muscle.

He didn't drink, he didn't smoke..... He didn't even cuss!. Lived a very clean life. Even went to Church every week.

But anyway, before he retired he worked for a big Ag company and he had to go down into Northern Indiana for several Months out of the year. He picked it up from the Amish and Mennonites down there, I think.

Anyway, he had Sleep Apnea. He was a big man with a thick, muscular neck. If you're like that, take notice.

I was in his house one time and I saw a big bottle of Antibiotics on his counter that hadn't been opened. And they'd been issued by the VA two or three Months prior. I jumped his ass because he wouldn't take them. He was doing some kind of BS Holistic treatment. I shamed him into taking his Antibiotics and it cleared up his prostatitis. Like it's supposed to do.

His Sleep Apnea? He had a CPAP machine. Wouldn't use it unless his daughter heard him snoring and kicked his ass and made him.

So he goes on the road for a long trip to Texas, pulled over for a nap and died in his sleep.

I miss him every day. He was the kindest man I've ever known.

Sorry for the loss of your friend.

I had one pass away a few weeks ago from a respiratory illness that was very treatable, but he refused to go to the doctor. Stubborn bunch, these guys are.

Are we talking about giving a Kioti a colonoscopy to see if they are built as solid as they used to be or what? I have to say, this is as far off topic as I have ever seen a thread get.
Been an ongoing thing around here lately not sure why the mods don't step in 🙄

Something young people don't think about is that getting older -- You start to lose a lot of friends. Gets a little bit lonely if you're fortunate enough to live a longer life.

Sorry for your loss. It hurts more when it's preventable. I was like, "If only I could have made him realize....". I keep telling my Wife that when I go, if I see him in the afterlife, I'm gonna punch him first; then hug him.
