Are backhoe subframes universal.......

to different brands of tractor? I have a backhoe on my Branson 4720. Would that backhoe fit on a TYM or Mahindra, or Kubota of around the same HP using the same subframe? My backhoe subframe bolts to the bottom 3 point hitch lift arm points after you remove the lift arms and clamps to a bar in front that spans the frame rails. Pretty simple really but I've never looked at another brand to see how they attach. Thanks for any insights.

They're not universal. Bransons is an old school type which is strong but bulky when off the tractor. A newer design is a four point mount on the back of the tractor, without the long frame going forwards. Some fancy tractors let you leave the 3pt hitch arms on.

Thanks for the information. It would be pretty easy to make the subframe fit any tractor that had a 3 point hitch. I'm thinking about selling my tractor and wondering if I should keep the Amerequip backhoe.
