Are 5425's still coming off the line?

Hi,

We ordered an 5425 back in June and are still waiting for it. Are they still producing them? From what I read on here it is being replaced by the 5085M and they won't arrive until Feb/Mar.

According to my salesman the Status just got bumped up one notch to confirmed. Does that mean that until that point it could have been cancelled?

Will we actually ever see this Tractor? We need it to Blow Snow this winter, if it won't be here in two weeks I need to figure something else out.

I didn't think they were still building the old 5000 series tractors. You can't "build your own" on the John Deere site anymore even though they still have the information about the tractors. I ordered a 5225 in April of 07 and received it in June of 07 (roughly 6-7 weeks). If you've been waiting since June, I smell a rat. Seems like your dealer should be able to get a more definitive answer than he has given you. I'd press him a little harder and see if he can't find out more.

I just received a 5425 last week. I still have two 5525's coming - neither of these units have been built yet. I would be very surprised to see the new 5M tractors on dealer lots before late spring 2009... We are rolling the dice and stocking up on the 5025's in anticipation of the factory switch-over to the 5M series.
