Archery or Bowhunters....help

   / Archery or Bowhunters....help #21
Boeing,

I have used a "verifier" on my compound bow for roughly 8 years. You know you need one when your sight pins start to blur or, the colors on the pins tend to "wash" together. Any good archery shop will have them. They have a handheld apparatus that you will use to determine which verifier is right for your eye. Once you have selected a particular lens that clears up your pins, you will have to put a new threaded peep into string that accepts the verifier lens. Be aware that their are roughly 6 different verifier "powers", so look through each one before you choose. Also, a verifier is meant to sharpen your pins, it does nothing for the target you are shooting at. If anything, in my case, it very slightly blurs the target, barely perceivable though. If it was not for the verifier, I could not use pin sights anymore and I probably would have stopped shooting vertical bows. When I tried my first verifier, I started to dance the jig, because of how clear my pins were again.... Good luck.

BTW, claifiers are used in conjunction with bow scopes/optics, would not be applicable to your situation.

I also went with a verifier and it worked great.
