I guess that the hoses are hydraulics run off another machine. At first I thought it was runing underwater lol

some thing like this happened back in the 80's in Australia ... they were working on a causeway or something similar. The shovel slide over the edge and into about 30 feet of water ... they ran hydraulic lines from the shore to the unit and a scuba diver went down and drove it out. About a year later someone fitted a snorkel to a WV beetle, used scuba gear and drove across the bottom of Sidney Harbour.

It looks like the other tractor is axle deep in mud too. Looks like a huge swamp, wonder how they get home.
