Anyone With Max ATV 6x6 Experience?

You are correct sir !! And that and similar extreme measures have been taken to keep or even recover a MAX or ARGO from becoming a perminant obsical to navigation or fish reef or beginning of a new sand bar. My point was that the process is usually NOT FUN!

Unlike some others, my idea of a sucessful day of Four Wheelin or Tractoring is to have gotten to and from where I wanted or needed to go without getting stuck or severly damaging an expensive piece of equipment (or the land).

With a little common sense, both Max and ARGO can do a whole lot of usefull work as well as provide plenty of thrill and fun for a group of people at the same time on wet or dry land, water, sand, and snow. Again, a unique type of vehicle and experience for all.

I agree with you on that 100%. I can see having one for getting around on my place, or an ATV with the Mattracks.

I wish that I'd known more about the Max ATV while the Ebay auction was active (it was physically located within an hour drive of my Tennessee home, so I could've inspected it had I not been in Southern California during that time). Then again, if I had've know more, I'd probably be about $4000 poorer right now.

I'm going to have to find someone somewhere that'll let me experience one. After renting an excavator (trackhoe) a couple of times I'm now convinced that if I found one at a really good price I'd buy one of them since I know what its usefulness would be to me. The Max ATV comments in this thread have been overall more positive than I thought they'd be, so I'll continue my quest to gain knowledge and experience about these machines.

Check out the Route6X6 site.... just realize you have to sift through a bunch of BS and Hype, but there are many good knowledable people there as well.

Give the ARGO serious concideration as well. There is a classified section on that site with a number of used units at any time. The guy who runs the site, Richard I think, also sells rebuilt units.
