For the most part I do but on the NFL I've decided the family time is more important to me. I could do without the NFL, wouldn't bother me any, but it's something several family members enjoy so if they want to watch the games I'll enjoy the time I'm able to spend with them.
I became an Eagles fan because when my father was stationed overseas and when my mother and I living were living with my grandmother, we'd go up to my uncles place and watch the Eagles game with my 4 cousins every Sunday during football season.
Even after my dad retired, Church Sunday morning at 9 (grandmothers local town), get out at 11:30, go up to my uncles town up the road, stop at a local bakery, pick up fresh bread, then watch the Eagles around 1 after some great ham and cheese sandwiches on the bakers bread.
Those games as a kid have stayed with me all my life.
Honestly, football has never paid me a cent in my life, and at the end of the day, the game (who wins or loses) really doesn't affect my life (way more important things), but even last night watching a quarter with my dad is always a fun thing.
Thing is, even when we actually went to the Vet to watch the Eagles in person, when I got older, I was the type of person who would want to leave in the 3rd quarter because I didn't want to deal with all the people trying to leave the parking lot at the same time
