Anyone use a truckloader Leaf Vac with an RTV900?

That is a good looking unit, how is the center of gravity?

The load sits right on top of the wheels, so when full, the balance is good. When empty, the engine side is heavier. On one of my other mulcher /bagger, I mounted a extra set of wheels so I could pull it around by myself.

You can put bags in the container, but when full, You can not pick up the bag, and if you can get them to the street, the garbage man probably will bust the bag trying to lift it. I put the leaves into two 33 gal bags.

You can install one of the vacuum units on the tail gait of a pick-up, and load leaves, and when you get to the dumping area, you can suck the leaves out of the truck , and spread them over a large area.

JJ..........Thanks for the thoughts and trouble.....REALLY.....BUT.........am looking for a device/machine that does NOT require hooking up to a mower deck. This type, most, use the power of the mower deck to feed the vacuum unit. The RTV DOES not have this so that is why I want one that does not use the mower as an augment for pickup........thanks and God bless........Dennis

I think I'm going to purchase the little wonder 14 or 16 hp truck loader. I picked up a 40x49in utility trailer from harbor freight for short money and I plan to mount the truck loader on this and blow the leaves in the back of my RTV900. I would opt for the hitch mount but The RTV isn't a pickup and that would be too much weight on the hitch. The RTV goes every where I need it to go and is set up with a box and expanded metal roof. I'll post a picture when I finalize the purchase.

This is a great thread! Thanks to all for the wisdom/ideas and pics.

The best I can come up with is my 48" warn plow on my atv; I welded 8 pieces of articulated 1/2" rebar 4" long to an old sacrificial strip. It still picks up a little too much dirt but it moves my big-leaf maple leaves around ok.

The rebar bends on the roots and rocks so I carry a pipe to re-adjust the pitch.

With all my trees (9'-12' spacing) and the uneven eastern slope, anything over 60" tall will collide when the vehicle is just a little uneven.

Low profile will be the way to go for me. Too bad my 2 beef-cows can't keep up with them all.
