Hello all,
Has anyone hooked up a snow thrower to their Cub 3204 ( or similiar model)feedback? how well does it work ? Were wheel weights and chains used? the hydrolic lift arm easy to remove? I beleive the 45" thrower is the same for a lot of models in the 3000 series...I just need to know how well it works overall, and is it a good setup...

Thanks in advance!!

I have a 3000 series with a snowblower. The lift assembly is held on by 6 bolts plus 2 hydraulic hoses - it takes only a few minutes to install or remove. The blower uses 2 spring loaded pins for hookup plus the driveshaft. The driveshaft hooks up like a PTO on a CUT. The blower came when I got the tractor, but I think the dealer installed front (mid mount) hydraulic remots and another lever on the left fender area. I use chains but no weights. I have a cab, adds weight. My 22 HP. throws snow 35 - 40 feet depending on the type of snow. I have packed snow 10 - 15 feet up on tree trunks next to my drive. It's a great unit.

Cgs,

This is exactly the feedback i needed to hear, since I never seen how the hydrolic's are hooked up. Got any picturess?

A few reasons why I'm strongly thinking of going with the 3000 series 45" thrower over the other options. I have a Cub 125 w/ a single stage but I'm out of room and I'm sending it up north to a relatives house (temporary). The attachment on a JD 4100 is real expensive, so it comes down to the 3000 series cub which is less than half the JD option.

Once you use a blower/thrower it impossible to change back...

I need to also ask for a price check for a 2 stage blower
for a 3204 series ...I think its the 45" version along with the
front hydrolic attachment...

anybody have any idea what they go for??

Thanks

This was a long time coming. You wanted pictures and I couldn't get tractor, camera, computer, and time all together. This attachment shows the lift. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif PLEASE overlook the dirt. Note the bolts- 4 mount to the bumper area after you remove the bumper. The other 2 mount near the front attachment for the mower deck. (see next post)

This attachment shows the added lever to control the lift.

The chute uses a crank that extends from the blower to set to the left of the steering wheel. It is supported by a tube extending beside the left engine cover. Mine was cut off so the crank could enter the cab.
I can't give you prices for the blower as I got a package deal a few years back.

CGS,

I really appreciate you taking the time to post pictures of the blower. Just a few more pesky question !!

In general how well do you think it works? ease of removal and install? quality? and size? (looks big)

Thanks again !! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
