jjbath, since you have a TC35 with the fuel tank behind you, everytime you make a toplink adjustment with your OEM or the HydrauLink, you will have to get off the tractor and walk around to the rear. In my opinion, you will gain far more functionality by installing NH remote hydraulics and using a true hydraulic toplink from CCM or Surplus Center. With either of those you'll be in full control from your operator's seat. You'll spend more money, but that remote will be much more flexible and be usable for more than that toplink. Because a toplink with dual pilot-operated check valves will stay right where it is put, you could even disconnect the remote and hook it to a 3PH log splitter. If you can afford that extra $550 to install the remote, you'll never regret it. If you already have remotes, it's a no-brainer. Get a real HTL from CCM or Surplus Center.

I disagree... I bought a hydralink about six months ago and I've never regreted it. I use a boxblade and it made my job much easier. They weren't kidding abouut the auto-adjusting. It keeps the grading smooth and I usually only have to make one pass because of it. Maybe someone else might have a need for an htl but frankly, I like this better.

Please be more specific about "auto-adjusting." Is that your definition of what I'd call "sponginess?" Surely, you are not saying the Hydaulink adjusts itself in length automatically, are you? You have a Kubota. Where is your gas tank? Can you reach the toplink while sitting in your seat? How many HTLs have you ever owned to make the comparison and say that your prefer the Hydraulink? I'm not trying to give you a hard time, just saying that your Kubota experience may be very different from a New Holland TC35.

My limited experience with the Hydraulink has been similar to eternalwolf. I have only used it with my bb on my scut. The small front wheels and the short wheelbase makes the scut prone to pitching up and down as the little front tires drop into ruts and holes. With my fixed top link the bb would have a tendency to rise up when the front of the tractor would drop into a rut. This would cause the bb to dump the contents.

The hydraulink will extend slightly when the nose drops into a hole. The extension tends to keep the back edge of the BB closer to the ground and greatly reduces the amount of material dumped out of the box. Similarly when the front of the tractor rides up over a bump, the hydralink will compress slightly reducing how much the rear of the bb get pushed into the ground. This is the "smoothing" effect eternalwolf is referring to.

I would love to have a hydraulic top link. But in a scut with no provision for rear remotes, the cost is too high. Having used the Hydraulink I believe it is a totally different tool than a hydraulic top link. Each has its purpose. One is not a substitute for the other.

The hydraulink does things that no other top link, including a hydraulic top link can do. But it does not replace a true hydraulic top link.

I would prefer the hydraulic top link option but I would need to buy a remote and they are not that cheap. If I had another use for it it would be worth in.

If anything I'd like to get a 3rd function for the loader so I can add a grapple.
