i found this cab while looking around the 'net:

hardtopcab.JPG

it looks pretty decent and i like it because it is actually lower than the ROPS (at least on this model)...i only have a small amount of clearance under my 8' door WITHOUT any snow buildup...

comes w/ hardtop, windshield and wiper, for about $1,500 shipped.

anyone have one like this? good quality? seems like a fair price...i see soft cabs selling for about $1000 these days.

I have looked off and on at after market cabs too. That one looks decent enough. Who makes it? I ran into a guy at TSC who put a soft side cab on his JD. Said he had a rear window made of glass locally and built his own simple rear wiper, otherwise when blowing snow with a rear blower he couldn't see much of anything.

don't know who actually makes it, but they are sold by "the green dealer". i have been looking at another type, soft side w/ soft windows, doesn't look as good and they are still about $1000.

was just looking at their website...says mfg'd by original tractor cab.

i have a rear mount blower now, and have a 59 front mount that i am working on for next year, and a cab would be nice.

i have a big wheelhorse w/ a blower that i have used for yrs w/o a cab. this year i added a cab (then got the JD and blower) but i still use it sometimes because of the cab. it sure is nice!

That is an Original Tractor Cab. Purchased mine through The Green Dealer. You won't find a cheaper price.
You should be able to get for a lot cheaper than $1500.
If I remember right, got mine for $1000-1100, just don't remeber, shippped from the Green Dealer. Got the glass windshield and the wiper, both of which are options.
Have mine on a JD 2305. Does a pretty decent job. Definately keeps you out of the blowing snow.

I have one on my 455 with a front mount snowblower. Was the best money that I have spent. It is going on season three and it looks as good as the day I bought it.

i'm looking at the larger series....$1350 + shipping (w/ windshield and wiper).

John Deere Hard Top Cab Enclosure 3120 3320 3520 & 3720

the 2305 series looks to be around $1000 w/ same options.

I have one of those on a NH. Works really well for the price. I leave it on all year but take the doors off in the summer. The roof makes it cooler. I modified the location of the door hinges so I do not need tools to put them on and off. They are pins so I slip in the upper pin and then drop the lower pin in. The pins are long enough to do that with.
You will not air condition or heat with it. Well I guess you could but there are no seals to the machine.

thanks for all of the info. i don't care about heat...just being out of the wind and the blowing snow on my small machine practically makes me sweat. i would remove it entirely in the summer...don't think it would work well mowing around low trees/driving thru the woods.

i asked the seller if he had an online installation manual/spec sheet so i could tell what the finished height would be. he doesn't have a pic of one installed on my tractor, so not 100% sure it sits below the ROPS like the other ones pictured.

probably wouldn't get one this year anyway. already spent too much $ on the pair of snowblowers.
