Anyone seen a new M4 series tractor yet?

Has anyone seen one of the new M4 tractor yet? I love my M7040 but I need an instructor seat it seems. Would really like to check out the M4 but dealer isn稚 sure when they will have any.

Are they on your dealership lot yet?

I saw one at the Louisville show in February.

Have seen none at dealers.

A dealer in NH is expecting the first one in sometime during June. They were hoping to have it for their Open house in early May. The pricing is about $9k more for an equally equipped M7060. That is a lot to pay for a second seat. My Father and I go to the woods to work together on our current open station tractor. This new tractor will be the first with a cab at the property. Somebody will take the ATV or SxS while the other drives the tractor. Normally the price would be about $7k different, but they have a earlier M7060 with Pre-April pricing so we are going to save the $9k.

The seat is for our toddler. Really not a lot of options on it. He needs a seat rather than potentially falling out of the cab through a broken window or unlatched door.

Based on dealer support locally, it looks like an M4, an M5 or something by Deere.

No New Holland dealers nearby? The cab on the Powerstar 75 (T4.75) is pretty darn nice and has a buddy seat standard.

Just got back form the dealer. They did not have an M5 in stock to compare too. The 7060 cab measured 52”, the M4 was 60” (which gives the M4 just enough extra room for an “instructor” seat). The rear fenders of the M4 were flush with the outside of the wheels (with stock wheel spacing), the 7060 the wheels stick out a little - anyway that is how they accommodate the 8”. I don’t think the stock wheel spacing was much different, perhaps the 7060 could be made a few inches narrower than stock if needed.

Most of the other differences are better documented. The M4D has a stock 6x2 transmission with an electronic declutch button (as opposed to a stock 7060 with a 4x2 and foot clutch). The M4D has normal and economy pto settings, 2 rpm memories (per the sales person so does the M5). It comes standard with 2 rear remotes (1 std with 7060) - I am having a third front remote added (when I have no idea - this is a new part and they are going to have to figure out availability) so I can use more of my existing skid steer implements.

Ended up spending as much or more than the M5 would have costed, but that included a 8’ pull rotary cutter, a 8’ pull disk, an 8’ land plane, and a frame for my chain harrow.

The M4 also is 4 PTO hp lower. No idea why they did that.
