Anyone plow with a poly cutting edge?

I have a bunch of customers that don't want scratches on their precious sealed driveways. I decided to try a poly cutting edge this season, but am skeptical it will wear out even before the season ends.

I bought a poly edge from Arctic, then fabbed up a piece of 3/8"x2" bar stock to reinforce it from breakage. I figure if I get into any real digging or stacking, I can just switch to my steel snow bucket.

Anyone have actual, hands on experience with poly edges?

Maybe put a check box on your contract for poly edge plowing with an additional charge and a disclaimer for 'scratch-free plowing'..
They used to make the edges from thick rubber.

Fisher Plow Manufacturing is in the next town over from me. Several summers ago they were experimenting with a poly cutting edge. They got permission from the town to run with the blade down to test it out for a few weeks. Town was about to repave the road. It was strange seeing a plow on a truck in July running with the blade down. From what I heard, tests came out good, didn't mess up the road and it is now an option. I have not tried one so I don't have first hand experience.
