I got an email from Rural King today advertising a 7 ton electric kinetic log splitter for $399. While I wouldn't normally consider an electric splitter, an electric kinetic (high speed flywheel) splitter seems to overcome the usual lack of power issue with electric splitters. The only down side I see is it is too low to the ground, but that can be fixed by building a stand for it to sit on.

Would like to hear from any owners about their experiences.

Sits way to low for my back..That is painful to even watch.

On another forum I visit, regarding all things firewood, a person had very negative reviews from first hand experience. I won't link directly as that may be a violation of forum rules, but I would say "buyer beware."

If it looks to good to be true...

Looking for a small cheap splitter I too watched the Rural King video. Scrolled down to read the comment section and all comments had been deleted. Not a good sign. I think Id pass on this one.
