Anyone Own A Kubota B6100 HST?

I'm been running the Green colors for years, and I need a smaller older sub-compact tractor to use on the 20 acres. My John Deere dealer has a 1979 Kubota B6100 HST for $1000.00. It appears in a normal condition for the 41 years it's been around. The dealer doesn't mention the hours on the unit, but his photos show it may have that one thousand mark of hours or more. I sent email to the sales manager that I would give $750.00 and ask if he knew the running condition(s) of all the main...engine, transmission, and PTO 3 point system.

What are the main things to look for on this B6100 HST for replacements parts> I would expect those here that own one might have some ideas that I need to look for before buying.

I purchased a mid 90s B7100 for $2k last year. 1141 hours. Replaced injectors, radiator, hoses, fuel tank, and seat. Have about $2.8k in it now. Will not part with it. If you can get it for $750, and it runs and drives well, I would advise getting it. They are solid machines.

I have a 84 B6200hst since new, other than regular service it I've only put a fan belt on it. It has close to 2000 hours. Kubota's of this vintage have an hour meter that starts over at 999 hours so you are taking there word on hours. Good luck!

The steering is weak ihad to replace mine with a after market from kummer bros 400.00. it is 15 hp 3cyl 48 inch cut belly mower. You have to run it in low gear hydrostatic and it will bog down in 6 inch grass. but I love it. i paid 2000.00 for it with 2000 hrs
