I had a seppi in the 90's with that same drum/ swinging hammer set up. But my frame was a bit different. That head may be from the 80's.

I am not a fan of swinging hammers. They have their own issues. I run all fixed teeth heads now, some have chippers, some have carbides. But with that being said it will mulch, just not as efficient as fixed blades/ knives

Yeah i agree in the fixed tooth and/or knives. Mostly wanted the tractor and one of the 2 pumps needs replaced and dont think i want to sink any money into it. 2500 new pump might be able to get a little cheaper but should probally put the money into a different head. I run a fecon on my other hydro ax. have found a few smaller prime mover fecon heads for around 20,000. Just a thought what if you sharpened those huge hammers and fixed them somehow? it looks like it would tear some "S*** " up. Thanks for your time and sharing your knowledge

I would look for a fecon 120 head. You should be able to pick one up for less than your budget. It's funny you posted these questions, I run a 421e and I just pulled the lexan out today to change it. Lol it's a small world sometimes.

I can come up with a "new old stock" Fecon BH99 (103" overall width, 86" cutting width) for a reasonable price. Let me know if you are interested.
