Anyone know where I can Find a carb gasket set for Horse1 tiller 6 hp.

Hi All, I was just given this machine for free after it had been sitting in a barn for 25yrs. After I got all the chicken s**t off it I pulled the spark plug put some 2 cycle gas in the cylinder to soak overnight, slowly turned the motor over the next day, put a little fuel in the tank and it fired but would not run. My conclusion is that the carb is loaded with varnish and in need of re-building, the problem is "where can I find all the gaskets I need"??? Thanks in advance for any help available.

Try to find the numbers on the motor,lots of places to look for parts.If it is an H60 or HH60,look on Ebay. Try "HH60 Carb rebuild"
Parts Tree,or Superxpower are good places to look.

I would just toss a new carb on rather than rebuild.

In a pinch you can always cut one from cardboard or paper.
When stuck I make mine from light cardboard and rub grease into the finished gasket.
Also depending on the application liquid gasket (basically silicone in a tube) works fine.
On exhausts you then need heat resistant materials, but elsewhere there are all sorts of alternate options.

For 6 hp tecumseh, you will find kits at any small engine repair facility as it may just be the most common engine ever built.

As a carb cleaner I have used jiffy oven cleaner in spray can with success. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse with warm/hot water once cleaned as that stuff is very corrosive.

If you can find the model number on the engine. google to the tecumseh site and look up your model for the right parts. Or gasket paper and a can of the " right stuff " gasket material
