I'm thinking it is a type of ditch/drain making attachment. I know they use similar looking attachments to make drains in sugar cane fields here in Louisiana.

I'd say it's a fairly nice pto driveline, some hitch pins and scrap metal.

The picture came from the auction site listing. It's the only picture of it. No description, no nothing. I was wondering if it was some sort of ditch digging device.

In Louisiana, we call it a quarter drain plow. It cuts ditches across the cane fields, perpendicular to the rows. The drains are usually about a quarter of the way in from the headland. It throws the dirt about 50 feet high and makes a nice ditch.
