Stopped at the local Goodwill store yesterday, and they had a Bolens model 500 4-stroke single stage snowblower at the price of $24.99 plus tax. It was very clean, had excellent compression when I pulled the starter rope, and the oil level was full and appeared clean. All plastic was undamaged and the rubber scraper blades on the impeller looked good, as did the drive belt. So I purchased it. Would anyone have a clue as to the approximate age of this machine, or know of a site where I can research further? No manual, so I cannot tell what year it is by looking at the date of the manual. Thanks for any information.
