Anyone hunt morel mushrooms?

Hit our woods today. Didn't find a single mushroom. Found two dead deer though. That makes three total for this season. I hate stupid hunters.

In my area it's trophy hunters. Shoot whatever they see. Then decide if they want to burn their tag on it.

Around here there are farmers that are finding dead deer on their property that haven't been shot. Lots of them. They are investigating chronic wasting disease.

I think we are going to save them for Sunday. Probably toss them in with some that my father-in-law found at my place when I was at work!

Amen to that! I have had to politely tell the neighbors where their property line is more than once.

Mine doesn't poach my mushrooms (he doesn't like mushrooms). But he will gladly poach my beer, and I his as well. :drink:

I gotta say I've enjoyed my in-laws for the past 38 years. Good folks with a great daughter! :thumbsup:

I made them a roasted chicken dinner last Saturday. Mushrooms would have gone GREAT with that! :licking:
