Anyone hear of AfTrak?

Hello,
I was looking at tractors on auction and I ran across one that looked good but I'd never heard of. Google didn't return any hits either. It is a 1996 AfTrak 254, 4x4, 26hp 3 cyl diesel. I'm assuming it's a renamed Chinese unit, but it definitely is asian in appearance. Blue in color. Any info would be appreciated.

Just kidding. No, I haven't heard of any tractors by that name. Sure you got the spelling correct?

I am no expert with Chinese tractors but I think 254 is a Jinma model number.

I have heard of a AgTraxx, but they don't fit the '96 timeline. If post 2000, then a possibility. The AgTraxx was a brand name for a Lenar chinesse tractor. Sold by Cooper out of the Memphis area. I don't think they still sell them. Website is dead.

Many chinese tractors use a hp/drive model number. Also, many US resellers/dealers make their own. If you provide a picture, I should be able to tell you if it is a Jinma.

Thanks John. At the risk of getting swamped (we really need a CHEAP replacement for our 8N), the tractor is #250041567142 on eBay.

Here goes my 1st attempt at a photo!:

Any info would be greatly appreciated. As I said, this 8N of ours has to go. I have limited traction in the summer, I hate to think what it will (or won't) do this winter!

Have you considered a nice condition Yanmar or similar? I realize it will cost more but, I would think you'd get a whole lot more for your money and a time proven design with demonstrated reliability. There are dealers on this site that you may want to contact prior to making a purchase, either grey market japanese or new chinese.

I am fairly certain this is not a Jinma. While Jinmas did come with metal hoods in that time frame, I can't id any specific parts that I know from Jinma 200 series. Rims, tires, seat, engine, rops, all appear to be non-jinma. Until you can get a good id on the ractor and have some idea of where to get replacement parts, I wouldn't bid on it.

Add: And it is definitly not the AgTraxx I was refering to above.

Try this phone for info 800.284.7066. They may know about parts availabilty. They will prob just try to sell u a tractor but worth a try. I think it is a lenar brand. Jiangxi Tractor is a possible manufacturer or Jiangling ...
