Hi guys,
I just bought a used BX2350, I am really liking it but it needs oh so much work. It seems the previous owner really worked (I want to say abused) it and never fixed or maintained a single thing. I'm a little regretting the purchase since by the time I added up all the parts to bring the tractor up to current, I will probably be out of pocket for more than it would have cost to have one all working and maintained properly without looking all beat up. My neighbor said some folks just use a tractor until it's all used up, then replace it, which I'm guessing is what happened here. But I did it, it's a done deal already and I just want to look forward and get this thing all 100%.
So now, the repair I have on hand is the flasher unit. It's not there, and but I have found a schematic and confirmed that the lamps on both sides work so I surmise that it's the flasher that I need. But holy cow, the price Kubota wants for one is really unreasonable in my mind for a hazard/turn flasher. This is too bad because I've found that most kubota parts seems to be fairly reasonable, or reasonable as far as dealer parts are concerned anyhow.
So my question is, and I'm sure these flashers have been replaced before by others... does anyone have an old/busted flasher lying around somewhere can sell to me? What I really want is the connector portion of the flasher as I'm interested in making my own, more reliable, flasher circuit. If a connector can be found new, I would buy it but I'm not having any luck with that, so I thought I would see if I can refurb an old flasher by gutting it and making my own circuit. I work on electronics all the time so this is something I feel comfortable with. I know this is a long shot but I figure it's worth at least asking.
