Actuality you are wrong or have the Quick Hitch manufactures mixed up.
I just went out to measure my New Speedco Quick Hitch and the inside measurement is 27 1/4" on the inside, and the Bushings that slide over the 7/8" cat 1 implement pins are 1 1/2" OD with a 2" raised stop on end to keep the attachment in check. My Quick Hitch is a Yellow Seedco/Farmforce, cat 1 that I bought at Tractor supply 2 weeks ago.

That's the same one I just bought. They had a $20.00 off coupon for anything over $200.00, so that was nice.
I almost did not get it today. I had phoned them approx. 30 minutes before arriving there to be sure they had one in stock. The manager assured me they had it and would put my name on it.
I arrived and went to the back where it was. They only had one. Guess what ?? There was another customer there holding on to it and checking it over with a salesperson.. I waited until they were done. The salesperson came around the corner and I explained that I had just called and spoke to his manager, and gave him her name, and that she put my name on it and was holding it for me
He phoned his boss and she said for him to explain it to the other customer.
I'm glad she stood by her commitment to me, but I still felt bad for the other customer, because I could have been that other customer not getting my new quick hitch. I'm glad I asked her for her name. The salesperson said that the hitch had been on the shelf for a couple months, then today two people wanted it at the same time...Go figure !!
Thanks for the help. Now I have to find a few more of those collar bushings. Two came with the hitch, but TS does not stock those separately. I'll have to check the manufacturers website, if they have one.
