I have a 02 newholland TC21d it only has 600 hours on it and my charge pump for the hydraulics has just went out on me again for the second time with only 100hours since I replaced it last the first one went out with about 500 hours and this time it took out the shaft that operates the pump with it.. Can someone give me any advise on why I am loosing these pumps my filter and oil has been changed as required I only use the tractor for mowing the lawn and have kept in garage so its in great shape.. The tractor does run very warm but never overheated could there possibly be an issue with the oil cooler... Please help Im going broke in Ohio lol...

I would talk to my NH dealer about this issue. It would seem somthing else is causing the pump to fail and the pump itself is not the problem.

Do you hear a constant high pitched squeel when your 3 point is at the highest position? I had to adjust the lift lever control to keep the 3 point slightly lower because at the high position the pump was still running trying to raise the 3 point higher than the limits. This causes excess wear on the pump and premature failure. That is something to check out. Adjustment is outlined in the service manual.

I'm curious with your choice of wording. Do you have HST transmission? Are you having problem with Hydro " charge pump" or your implement hydraulic pump? which one is it?
Your main pump is positive displacement gear type with constant flow. You can not dead head the pump without some damage unless system relief pressure to operate. If relief mechanism is shimmed up or adjusted way above the operating pressure will cause pump short life. The lift spool valve that you have is open center meaning additional flow is diverted to sump when not used. if you force your lift system beyond it's capacity it will force your main relief valve to relive and chatter. That is neither good for your relief mechanism or your pump. Have you ever measured your pump discharge pressure? and if so, how does that compare to your tractor specs.
