I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to chime in with some correct details. We are a McCormick dealer so I can tell anyone who's interested who makes McCormick tractors. ALL of the larger tractors (X4,X5,X6,X6L,X7 and the new X8 series) are made BY McCormick. McCormick and Landini are part of the same company and owned by the same family. The large McCormick tractors are made in Italy in the same factory that has been making Landini tractors for decades. When McCormick first came back to the market in 2000 the large tractors were made in the old Case IH factory in Doncaster England. In 2007 they moved all the large tractor production to Italy when the shift in global currency made them too expensive to produce and compete.
The current compact McCormick tractors are made FOR McCormick in South Korea by Kukje (the same company that makes Branson tractors). The CT series McCormick tractors from 2007 to about 2011 were made by LS Tractor. The X10 series McCormick tractors were made by Daedong (who makes Kioti tractors) from about 2011 until 2015. The semi-compact GX series McCormick tractors were made in house by Landini. Hopefully this will answer some questions that people have. We have sold a lot of McCormick compact tractors over the years and people have been very happy with them. We are also an LS dealer and likewise our customers have been very happy with their LS Tractors.
