I've become addicted to my hydraulic top link on my current Kubota and won't be able to live without one.

Wondering if any of you are using one and what the size of the top link you are using is. My two choices are Haytools (formerly CCM) or Surplus center. Haytools has a Cat 1 21-32" with a 2" cylinder.

Surplus center has a similar one but also has one with a 3" cylinder - 19.5" to 27.5". I have a feeling that will not be long enough.

Do you guys think the one with the 2" cylinder is adequate? My guess is yes - I don't do much with it other than adjusting the length to change implements or the angle of 'attack' of a rake or box blade.

canoetrpr,
I have top and tilt on my 4520 and hydraulic scarifiers on the boxblade.

A frequent poster and member here "Mtnviewranch" Brian can hook you up with just the right fit for your tractor.

That 2" cylinder will have 5,000-7,000 pounds of force at 2500 psi operating pressure.

I can build you a top link with either a 2", 2 1/2" or 3" diameter cylinder. Typically for your size tractor I recommend the 2 1/2" dia. cylinder that has a 1 1/2" dia. rod with a 10" stroke that has a working length of 19 1/2"-29 1/2". We can build about any length that you may need, and always recommend that you double check to see what will work best for you. You are not stuck with only 2 choices. ;)

I have a 3720 with the adjustable lower lift arms. Don't know if those optional lift arms are the reason, but most Cat 1 HTLs I investigated weren't long enough. Plus, I have a few implements in the 800-1000# range. So a 2" cylinder with a 1" rod wasn't enough either. So I had Brian make me one to fit; it's a 2.5" cylinder w/1.5" rod and 31" length (closed). Given that it was essentially a custom HTL, I thought the delivered price was pretty reasonable too. At the time of my order, he had it fabricated/painted/shipped the same day.
