Changed the fuel filter on my 4110 this week and the ring/nut that holds the bowl in place broke in half when I tried to put it back on. Went to the dealership and got a new one and it absolutely will not fit. I even took the entire assembly off of the tractor to make sure that I had everything lined up and level and it seems about a millimeter or so too small.

Yes, the threads in the old nut had disintegrated on mine so I ordered a new one last year. The new one was a real bugger to get started, almost didn't get it on far enough to seal the bowl. The threads on the housing were OK and I used some anti-seize on the nut for lubrication but I doubt I'll be able to remove it without damage to something. When the filter needs changing next time I think I'm going to do away with this setup and put some other filter inline there. On that old nut it wasn't just worn-out or cross-threaded, the metal actually crumbled away and there were just big gaps in the threads. I've only had the bowl off 3 or 4 times since the tractor was new, once to replace the plastic bowl a few years ago as it started developing cracks, the other times to change the filter. That nut is rather pricey too ...
