The Toolman said:Warsaw, Mo. right across the river on the south side of town. I was originally born an raised in Indep. at 40 hwy an Blue ridge cutoff, right across from the Hi-Boy there. I can even remember when they built it. A steakburger, tots, an a coke was .57 cents with tax. Now it is around $6 for the same thing
Got it home an in the garage last night. Probably wait until tomorrow (sunday) to get it back out in the drive an do some more cleaning an touch up on a couple of the gray places of it, like the frt bumper etc.
I'm old an tired an got it to ride around on more than anything. I wanted one more nice piece of machinery before I died. Heck, I have a real nice older sears LT1000 12 hp 38" rider in the garage thats like new I mow everything with. I just wanted a newer small big tractor......hehehe
Besides, the little gal that lives with me bought it for me. We are both older an watch out for each other
By the way, When I had my welding shop in Lees Summit in the 70's an 80's I use to custom build buggys an bought all of my frames an V-dub parts from Vics down there where yer at.
Holy cow. More we have in common. When we had our business we bought a couple of acres of ground just on the north side of Steakburger, south of the water tower. Steakburger was across the street from HiBoy. This was in 98 and sold it in 07.
When we bought the ground, there was a block 30x30 building on it. We put up a metal building east of the little block building. We found evidence of another building or something when we were moving dirt.
Wonder if we bought your old place??? The address was 3415 Blue Ridge Cutoff. I don't remember the name of the people we bought the ground from. They had the building rented to a guy who repaired trolling motors.
Small world.
