Looking to get a BX2200. All 3 KC dealers are waiting for shipments and aren't sure when they'll get any. So, I've got price and service to help me decide who to go with. Does anyone have any comments on the service at KC Kubota dealers? Thanks.

The BX2200 is not a current model, so they won't likely be getting any of those unless they just happen to take one in on trade. I live in Topeka, but work in Lawrence. When I bought, I knew very little about tractors and confined my looking to Topeka and Lawrence. I bought from McConnell in Lawrence. They also have a dealership in Ottawa, KS. There is also a Kubota dealership in Bonner Springs. I have been pretty pleased with the sales and service from McConnell. Darin McConnell is an owner and he gave me pricing on three tractors I was looking at with at least what I considered to be reasonable discounts at the time. Perhaps I could have gotten better pricing from one of the national dealerships, but I was ok with the price he gave me and preferred to stay local if I could.

Did ya call odell's in Independence, Mo where I got mine? They have a lot of tractors on the lot there

I can't speak to any of the KC dealers in regards to a Kubota purchase specific (my L5030 was purchased used on Craiglist for 1/2 the price of new). But Coleman's in Bonner has a very large parts department AND online parts manuals / schematics for Kubota / Case IH / Farmall. Plus I have always found everyone to be helpful, and a pleasant experience to visit. I do have a Farmall tractor, and used to have a Case skid - so...ok I am a bit partial :)

I have been to O'Dells, which is the closest to me...but I guess I don't click with them. I would rather drive an additional 30 miles to Coleman than waste my time at O'Dells. Now they have never done me wrong, they have been in business for a long time. I am sure it's me and not them. (We have a Ford dealer a mile from here. I have bought a lot of Fords in my day - none at the local dealer. It's me. I don't click with them. )

I have heard good things about Scott Tractor in Smithville. My tractor originally came from there, and the seller told me he was pleased with them.

Sounds like you want to buy new...I had NO problem buying used. Mine was 5 years old with only 325 hours, and about 1/2 of new. Was able to get more tractor for my budget by buying used.

Good luck.

haha funny you say that. My BX1800 I got from odells came from Scotts in smithville when it was new.

The only reason I bought from odell was what I wanted was setting there. Also I happen to be up in that end of town after a hamburger at the Hi-Boy down the road a piece

Hi-Boy? If only you had stopped at Clem's for a brain sandwich, maybe they wouldn't have closed (if the rumor I heard is true)! :). I'm with ya, I would pick Hi-boy over a brain sandwich ANYDAY!!

If you weren't familiar with Clems, a little hole in the wall drive-in just west of Sterling on 23rd. Great food, well except for that brain sandwich thingy! If indeed they closed, that's sad, but not surprising.

Thread hi-jack over!

I know about Clems, I use to crawdad fish right there in Hills Park in the 50's. My dad was a big clems fan. I went to school at Korte

I saw somewhere earlier you are 125 miles out, down south. Where is home these days? You get your new tractor picked up?

Warsaw, Mo. right across the river on the south side of town. I was originally born an raised in Indep. at 40 hwy an Blue ridge cutoff, right across from the Hi-Boy there. I can even remember when they built it. A steakburger, tots, an a coke was .57 cents with tax. Now it is around $6 for the same thing

Got it home an in the garage last night. Probably wait until tomorrow (sunday) to get it back out in the drive an do some more cleaning an touch up on a couple of the gray places of it, like the frt bumper etc.

I'm old an tired an got it to ride around on more than anything. I wanted one more nice piece of machinery before I died. Heck, I have a real nice older sears LT1000 12 hp 38" rider in the garage thats like new I mow everything with. I just wanted a newer small big tractor......hehehe

Besides, the little gal that lives with me bought it for me. We are both older an watch out for each other

By the way, When I had my welding shop in Lees Summit in the 70's an 80's I use to custom build buggys an bought all of my frames an V-dub parts from Vics down there where yer at.
