Anyone feel the earthquake yesterday?

Saturday was kind of a grueling day. Yard work, then had 12 people over (outside for the most part) for a nephews "going away college get together, added took the boys out back shooting.

Actually overslept Sunday morning as the wife took care of the dogs at 0500 (she came back to bed to sleep after that where as I normally stay up and do some work).

I get up right around 0800, go to walk downstairs, I'm still a little sleepy, and I'm trying to figure out what that dang vibration / noise it on the hardwood floors.

I was up and having coffee on the porch. I did not feel it but the wife and most of the neighbors did. I guess my coffee had not kicked in yet.

We are 20 miles southeast of Charlotte. My wife felt it and came running to ask me what on earth I was doing that made the house shake. I didn't feel it--don't know what I was doing but whatever it was I was apparently really concentrating on it.

It was raining so hard in central NC all I could feel is the thunder. The storms here are so dramatic. As I’ve said, rains here every 49.5 hours.........on average.

Who wants to buy 55 acres?

The Denali Fault Earthquake in 2002 caught my attention real quick. It was only a 7.9 but it was rolling like waves. I couldn't even stand up and it made me nauseous. Not sure how the house survived it. I'd much rather deal with quakes than floods, fires, hurricanes or tornadoes!

I felt it in Aiken, SC. (Augusta suburb on SC side of the river)

It was very mild, but the hutch on my credenza and my PC monitor started "swaying to the music".

But I'm 200 miles from Charlotte.
