Anyone else see the article about the new Yanmar Outboard?

I will try to link to it tomorrow but the other day I read an article about yanmar anouncing it will produce a turbo diesel outboard. I think it was a 50hp. It will use way less fuel than comparable outboards and have twice the life. It will be a 2 cyl and have twin crankshafts and 2 connecting rods per piston, giving it a very smooth operation they said.

Huh? I can't get my head around how that works.

Maybe like the RR K61. It could have 2 x Opposed pistons per cylinder. Effectively a 4-cyl engine. 2-stroke ported. No cylinder heads. No valves. Diesel, so no need for spark plugs.
