Anyone Else Have One Of These? (Hope I Never Have To Use It)

It was the first 'modification' I made to my 4105 after it arrived. Strapped it to my ROPS using a cut-up foam-neoprene stubbie-holder (koozie?) as an anti-vibration buffer.

I've got fire extinguishers everywhere I think that I need them; tractor, work-shop, ute, kitchen (fire-blanket too) and by the wood heater. My Navy career/training instilled this in me. Heck, whenever I enter a room, shop, restaurant, etc... I unconsciously scan/locate where fire-fighting appliances/safety equipment are located.

Better to have it and not need it than the alternative.

The metal support bracket is nice, but much more important is the metal head and metal hand grips.
The cheap extinguishers, whatever their size, are made with plastic heads and hand grips that become brittle with age.
They cannot be tested/refilled.
I just threw 3 of my 10 pounders away.
You can buy new all metal head/grip 10 pounders on Zorro.com for $63 delivered.
I have had one MAJOR fire, and one small.
I did have extinguishers.

Don't cheap out on fire extinguishers!

The Autozone unit has a metal head and trigger but it's only 2.5lbs content in a 5.5lb package.

That's good to know about the all steel designs. Once this one's time is up I'll look into that for the next one.

You guys remind me that we need to get one mounted on our 6x6. Hummmmmmm but where?

Make sure you give that a good shake from time to time.

Fire extinguishers mounted vertically are notorious for not discharging because the powder gets pounded into the bottom neæ±* to ever come out...many machines have burned to the ground because of an extinguisher that didn稚 fire.
