Great news, Day 13 since the infection announced itself, she was pulled from the antibiotics, the hypersensitivity was controlled in the hospital from Friday to Sunday, the Infectious disease fellow declared her as cured as of Sunday and the PICC lines were removed from her biceps. All drugs are finished.

I took her home Sunday evening. She is in pain yet (head/neck/spine/knees), eyes (not staying aligned, double vision) and memory issues (short term forgetting) persist but nothing overly concerning to the Doctors at this point because the residual internal swelling is still having an effect on things. They suspect that over time, as swelling reduces, residual symptoms will fade off. We will see a neurologist in the near future for follow up assessment, but things look like all is working out as well as could be hoped. A healthy and fully functional wife will emerge at the far side of this with (hopefully) no long term damage.

We were lucky. Not everyone walks away from this affliction with minimal to no damage. Prayers were heard!
