Anyone, beside me, receive a call from a Pollster?

Saturday morning I received a call from a polster. They wanted to know if I owned a compact tractor. I do own a Mahindra 3325 so I told then I do.

The questions asked concerned what I own, how big it is, what I use it for, when I bought it, was I the person who operated it and was I the person who made the desision to buy it. I was on the phone about 5 minutes tops.

Can't remember the polling companies name.

I wonder what they were trying to determine? But they did, after I was finished, ask for my address to send me $10.00 becausde I completed the survey. I wonder where they got my phone number?

Put a lock on your tractor....... If they have your phone number, they have your address.

It's been a few years, but instead of just a phone call, I got a survey in mail and filled it out and returned it, and I did then get a check in the mail. Among other things, the one I got had "line drawings" of tractors and wanted to know which ones I liked best. Now they had no colors and no other identifying markings, but from the drawings, it wasn't hard to tell which ones were of which brands.

As was mentioned, if they have your phone #, they have access to your address (or vice versa) Load the shotgun. Unchain the dog. No, I don't trust anyone I don't know when they ask for personal information. It MIGHT be perfectly legit. And they might be right down the road with a trailer and a key to your tractor.

They invited me to a little building in town, where myself and (3) others sat around a couple hours in the evening, drinking coffee and eating donuts they provided. We listened to a short talk, looked at a bunch of pictures, filled out a short survey and they sent us all home with $150 cash. The pay was alright and it was not too bad of a way to spend a couple of hours. I would do it again if they call.

Coffe, Donuts and $150 cash, did they provide the ink pens? If so I hope they make it to my Township hall! I won't go though unless they provide the ink pens!
