Tractor
JD 4110 HST w/410 Loader and 60
After I took a few minutes to educate my local dealer about the subtleties of the 2210 model, I got my "first blush" pricing yesterday on the tractor and a few possible options:

2210 Base w/DSCV for loader: $10,449
210 loader w/49" bucket: $2,258
Front blade w/ quick-hitch: $1,090
62C MMM: $1,800
54C MMM: $1,420

I am confident these prices are a bit high and the salesman will wiggle downward because he wants a return customer.

Anybody else gettinge early quotes or placed an order yet?

Any dealers out there (Deerenebraska?) who might offer some pricing insight?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

p.s. Anybody know why it is that the dealer closest to your residence will invariably know the least about the product you want to buy? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

I have noticed that the price for a tractor get better the further you are away from home,
especially if you pass a few dealers to get there....

Did this dealer have a JD 2210 in stock as the dealers around me
say they won't have one to show till late November or December.

This picture of the JD 2210 was taken at a farm show (not by me)
and post to another tractorbynet thread early this year...

That sounds like more than what I paid for my 4010

Round two: This dealer is 60 miles from home and much more in tune with the product. The prices are "first blush" over the phone, so I expect to do much better when the push is on:

2210 w/turf tires, DSCV and 62C deck - $12,470

210 loader w/ 49" bucket and level indicator - $2180

He will itemize for me when I visit next week. The tractor and deck are pretty darn close in price to the first dealer, but the loader is $78 less expensive. The specs compared to the 4010 differ primarily in that the 2210 is a little more feature rich with greater horsepower, PTO and engine. While the 4010 has a larger footprint, tires, and greater hydraulic capacity. I didn't price the 4010 again so I don't know whether I could do better on that model.

He mentioned that he expects to have new incentives in hand by the time they take delivery of the first units in late November. We had a great talk and I am infinately more confident in this salesperson.

And get this....he mentioned that additional testing is underway for a subframe backhoe that will be compatible with the 2210, 4010, 4110 and 4115 (one backhoe model for four tractor models). He said this was not just a rumor and that an independent testing firm is working on the first 2210 product releases for late October and an April release of the backhoe. He said the competitive advantage of this hoe over the one offered by the BX22 is that it is a subframe unit versus a 3PH unit on the BX22 (stronger and more stable, greater specs according to him. I am not an expert here so BX22 owners can take it up with him, not me). He also mentioned that quick attach/detatch is a key goal in design of the hoe frame along with surpassing the specs on the BX22.

We'll see next spring, I guess.

The BX22 backhoe is a subframe unit NOT 3PH. If you have only read about the BX22, please see one before your purchase. For now at least, the 2210 is a vaportractor.

Looks to me like a revised version of a 450, for the money you might be better off with a 4000 series.

GaryK, I would agree, however it depends on how big of a mini-tractor he wants. If he want the sub-CUT, then this may not be bad at all, I think if were ~<2000 bucks less than what he is being quoted, it would be a better deal, but it is brand spanking new, so, ..etc.. The pricing he is being quoted would definitely make me look around for a 4100 (sitting on a dealers lot), or a 4110.

As I mentioned, the pricing is first blush. I am only sharing the first prices seen or heard on this model and I'm sure you guys realize that a quote over the phone on a product that cannot yet be shipped is likely to be near MSRP. A 2210 w/ 62" deck and loader is definately going to end up at least a couple thousand $$$ less than a similarly equiped 4110. If you go by Deere website pricing the 2210 will be over $3,000 less than a 4110 MSRP.

The allure is not just pricing but similar power at the PTO and ground with a smaller footprint and turning radius, albeit less weight and hydraulic capacity. The 4110 is an option and I'm sure I will end up sharing more comparisons and will compare the units closely.

You also see a lot of pictures of CONCEPT cars too. Let's wait to see the tractor on a dealer's lot.
