Yes... Erskine has been sold...

Melroe Company Acquires Erskin Mfg. Co.
The Melroe Company of Fargo, ND has purchased Erskine Manufacturing Company, Inc. of Erskine, MN from owners Wayne and Arlene Gustafson, McIntosh, MN.
Erskine Mfg. Company has been a valuable supplier of quality snowblower attachment products for the utility and farm markets since the early 1950's. Under Gustafsons' ownership, the company has expanded its product offerings to include a broad range of hydraulically driven snowblowers for skid-steer loaders.

Really tho - you should buy one of these....

By the color of it I'd say that it was made by Allied (Buhler) up here.

From other email replys on your picture from some smaller snowblower mfrs... the consensus is saying its origin is Erskine... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

They have one of these at Pikeville equipment (JD dealer) in Pikeville PA outside of Reading. Summer is probably a great time to buy a snowblower in case anyone is looking for one.

Woodbeef mentions the colour scheme - I have an Allied pull-type blower with that colour scheme but I don't know if the paint job followed the original colours. I think so though. The blower itself is different but it is indeed Allied. I'd like to find one like you have as it looks lighter than this one -

I think the blower may have been produced by either Snow-Machine from Soiux City, Ia or Peterson Co from Minnesota

Now that you mention it, I do remember hearing the son of the original dealer for this blower talk about Snow Machine - I think that may be it. Thanks for the mental nudge /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
