I've said it many times...about 99.8 of the work shown in pictures posted to TBN with full grapples...can be done for much less expense with bucket thumb grapples...either commercial or homemade...! it's a fact...!

I totally agree, but most people don't want to hear it. I like the convenience of always having the bucket and grapple to use. Many jobs I do need both.

I was planning to add a Green Machine unit to my JD855 but wound up trading it last year. I did a lot of research and it seemed the best option fi you decide to go that way.

One last thought. Visibility might be an issue. I have that issue with a few attachments and I installed a "back up camera" that I can move where I need it on magnetic mounts. If I were to do it again I would pay a bit more for a wireless camera. The wires can be a PITA is some locations.
