It would seem there is something abnormal going on in there. Nows the time for them to even consider trading it out for another tractor /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifor possibly the L4330, hmmmm /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

dealer checked tractor out today.said that hydros make noise when they heat up.this is my first tractor and i wasnt sure this noise should be there,but the dealer was great,they checked it out pretty good.they will cut the filters open at 50hr service just to make sure.i will move another 6-8 yards of dirt tonight.bws

My L48 just doesn't make transmission noise or HST whine with the exception of high range. Even at that it's very marginal. I have had the engine temp up in the 3/4 hot range dragging big loads up hill on very hot days and there is simply no difference in the noise level. Rat...

I only have about 25 hours on my L3130 HST. There is a whine is high gear only. Mine runs out of power pretty quick in medium unless I feather the HST a bit even on mild hill. In fairness though It weighs over 5900# with the FEL and BH. That's a LOT of weight! The FEL digs pretty good in low, no tire slippage thats for sure.
