Any Thoughts on This Trade ??

I have an 07' CK25HST at 480 hours. Serviced per manual. Some cosmetic issues. I am looking at a DK40HST. Dealer asked something like 25K for the DK40. Trade not in the mix at that time.

I'm thinking something like 22K for the Dk40 but have no idea how much "wiggle room" there is in tractors. Don't know if tractors have hold back, dealer incentives etc.

Also not sure about trade value. 4K-5K or more. Just don't want to insult dealer but I cannot find anything like KBB for tractors. Of course if you think i should ask for 6-7 for the trade i would.

I would be comfortable at net 18K financed over 60 or 72 months at Agricredit rate. Can I do better.



Any thoughts on this are appreciated. The dealer did work 0% vs free loader and the free loader was the better deal. Of course this was at the 25K asking price (full retail) I never did ask him price of loader.

I would try to sell your 07' CK25HST yourself. Trade-ins are always lower than what you can sell for. It just might take you a while to get what you want. Look on craigslist, tractor house.com, etc.. to see what they are bringing.

The closest I could find was this 2004 CK20. http://www.tractorhouse.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=7811677 It is older and smaller, but with half the hours, and they are asking almost $10K.

Post yours on craigslist for $7K and see what happens. You can always come down if it doesn't sell.

What is the list price on the new tractor? From what I hear 10 to 15% off list is average. At least in the south. If $25K is list, 15% off would be $21.25K

When I bought my CK40SE I was given $4,500.00 for a '05 CK20HST w/loader with a shot tranny. It was in rough shape before the tranny died.

I'd call around just to see how motivated different dealers are.
