No, I don't think the lifting capacity will come unfastened.Your gonna loose a lot of lifting capacity with that type of forks
I've read several threads from users of the Bxpanded forks and found no mention of that problem.I had an old set of Wifo forks of that type. I'm sure that the OP has his reason for wanting that style, but they weren't cutting it for my use. If I wanted to tip a pallet or otherwise tip the load to have it slide off onto the ground or into the truck, it wasn't happening. Same thing if you need to approach something at an angle, with the fork tips lower than the carriage. If you needed to pick a large rock out of the ground, for instance.
