I have an M7040 that I want to put hooks on but don't want to weld them on in this instance. In looking at things, I can't figure out what I need to go with the hooks or how they mount. Does anyone have any photos of an M7040 or similar bucket with Ken's Hooks on it? I'll add it's a round bucket and SSQA mount. Thanks in advance.

I've not been "up close and personal" with an M series bucket. The L series has kind of a rolled top on the bucket. Ken's hook mounts just behind the roll. There's a spacer welded to the hook plate so the spacer and plate is bolted to the bucket and the spacer will pull against the lip. The hook is ordered by spacer length as they vary pretty widely. Shoot Ken an email and he can probably answer any questions. He's very willing to communicate on line.

Good advice, thank you.

Did you look at our website? We have three pictures there, but I'll attach them here too.

Round Back Quick Attach Bucket

This style bucket uses the regular Bolt-On Grab Hooks or Bolt-On Clevis Mounts available from the Bolt On Products page. These pictures of Nick's "Round Back Quick Attach Bucket" (click to expand them to full size) show how/where they are installed. The optional backing plates or "combo" kits with Clevis Mounts (shown below) are recommended here for the added strength.

Ken,
Yes, I did look at the website but didn't see the type of bucket lip I have. Your examples show mounting through the back of the bucket and I want to mount on the top edge of the bucket for greater strength. Not that I want to lift a lot but rather the geometry of the bucket with it's greater rollback angle makes mounting a hook on the top edge better for me. Here is a photo of what I'm talking about. If I mount on top in the center of that plate I don't think I can get the bolts in.

The edge doesn't look all that strong but near that top support piece of metal looks better. I could mount on that flat piece of metal or closer to the edge so I can get a wrench on it. Is that what you would do? Normally, I just weld a support piece of metal that folds over the edge and has a hook welded to it. that's much stronger but I don't really need it for this tractor. Your hooks are so easy to mount and so well made I'm going to use them for this bucket. Really, for most uses, your hooks are better and easier.

Also, I just saw your roll bar clamp brackets for people to add lights or whatever to a ROPS. Great idea and looks really well made.

OK...That is NOT what we refer to as the "round back bucket", but we do cover it and have six pictures there.

Square Back Quick Attach Heavy Duty Bucket

This style Heavy Duty Quick Attach Bucket used on some large machines also just uses the regular Bolt-On Grab Hooks or Bolt-On Clevis Mounts available from the Bolt On Products page. Because of the thickness of this mounting area, and the limited room underneath the optional backing plates or larger USS washers (if sent) are not used in this application. Please also note that the Hook/Clevis Combo's (mounted back-to-back) are not compatible either. M1811 is one part number used for this style bucket, there may be more.

Yes the ROPS Clamps have been very successful for far, there is really nothing else like it on the market.

This is my HD bucket for my M6040. They aren"t Ken's hooks but will give you an idea where I bolted them on.
