probably wont buy one soon but has anyone seen or used a 8870,8770, or newer ts115a ?
any one have or have operated a 8870,8770, or ts115a or similar ?

I have operated 8670's, 8970's, and a couple TS115A's. An 8870 will have almost double the HP and mass of a TS. You might want to define your needs better before purchasing. There are very, very few jobs that both models would be ideal for.
