I've contacted two dealers and so far the best price I've gotten on a TC24DA with FEL is $16,200. I also need a 60" MMM which I got quoted $2450. Any suggestions on who to contact for better pricing in the Southeast?

Wow, I wish I could help you, but that is an astoundingly high price, or NH has started to take some whopper price increases, which seems odd since they are getting rid of the TC24 and upgrading it to the TC26. The mid-mount mower decks are expensive (but they are very well made), that price in not great, but not too bad. I love my 24 but would not pay that price, for it. I've recently seen prices just a shade under $14,000 for the tractor with the 12LA loader. You didn't say if your quote was a cash price or a financing price, but if you are financing through CNH then the price usually is a bit higher than a cash price, but not $2,200+ more.

I even mentioned something to the dealer about the fact that this was a TC24 and not the new TC26, but he said "this is the new unit". Do you think I should look for a better deal on a TC24 or wait for a TC23 or TC26? The HP ratings don't really mean anything since this unit with 21, 23, 24, or 26HP is more than enough.

Oh I forgot, to address your question. The dealer and I didn't discuss cash price vs financed price.

I have dealt with 5 different NH dealers in GA and AL. None of them have really impressed me too much. I will give you a brief run down of the 5. Keep in mind these are my observations. Other people may have different experiences with each.

Oxford AL- good friendly folks. He is also Kubota dealer, really pushed Kubota and didn't really want to deal on a NH. He probably had 50 Kubotas to maybe 7 NH is stock. Gave me pretty good quotes on implements. He gave me the best quote of anybody on a Kubota 3130. Ask for Rusty.

Lithonia GA-very arrogant. If your not spending 50K he doesn't want to deal with you. He is also Kubota and NH. Has maybe 20 NH tractors in stock. I'll never go back there for anything.

Gasden AL-Very friendy, nice family run business. Also another Kubota and NH dealer. His prices were the highest of all. He had every model of NH tractor from a TC-18 all the way up to a T? -100 lined up right next to each other. If you want to compare sizes or features this is the place to visit. Expensive on everything. He also has every size Kubota from a BX-23 up to a L-3830 lined up side by side. Very impressive to see all the blue on one side and all the orange on the other.

Griffin GA- Very large dealership. They carry Kubota, NH Ag, NH construction ( skid steer & backhoes ), chipper-shredders, generators, ATV's, etc. They have allot of bigger tractors, ones up over the 65 HP range. Their prices run hot and cold on any given day. They do have the best parts and service department in the area, and a good selection of tractors. If you need a NH part Tammy in their parts dept. will find it. They have numerous salesman, Marvin seems to be the best one to deal with.

Newnan GA- small dealership. The best prices of any NH dealer I visited. He has a fair selection of 18 to 45 HP tractors. The only problem with this place is the guy who runs it (Phil) is a one man show. He does everything, sales, parts and service. He is stretched so thin he can't do anything well. A really nice guy, and is good to deal with but one person can only do so much. On Saturday morning's I've seen customer's lined up 4 deep waiting to speak to him. I would definetly give him a visit, just be prepared to wait and be patient. He will deal with you on price. He was one of the few who really wanted to sell a tractor.

These were my observations taken about this time one year ago. I was actually shopping for a NH TC-30, TC-33 or Kubota 3130. I wound up finding a deal on a NH TC-35 D with 85 hours on it.

If you want more info shoot me a PM.

Good luck !

Thats funny...the Lithonia dealer is just down the road from me and thats typical comments I hear about him every day. We don't sell NH but can get parts for them and service them (just not under warranty), just give me a call next time you need something. They are nice people but don't want to take a whole lot of time out for the "little guy."

Again...not a NH dealer but would love to do some business with you, thanks again.

One more thing about the Newnan dealership...Phil's father, Ed Dodson, owns a MF/Kubota dealership and Phil decided to split from his father...no bad blood Phil just wanted to do something on his own. Phil is a great man who knows his stuff but he seriously lacks help because he is just getting started. Calling up there and asking for Phil is like trying to talk to the President himself...you will be on hold and will be lucky to get him! I wish him the best of luck though.

Nate,

I could not agree with you more. Phil is a fine person struggling to make his business work. I just call them like I see them. I have also shopped at his fathers place in Fairburn. He is also a good person. His prices were high compared to the Kubota dealer in Oxford AL, and also the Kubota dealer in Milledgeville GA.

I can't offer a lot of help, but I had was happy with my purchase from Corriher in NC. I've been to GA once, my sister in law lives in Alpharetta and we spent some time down there. Nice place, but way too hot for this yank.
