Any new Kubota BX1500 owners

I ordered a new Kubota BX1500 w/FEL and rear blade the other day. I was concerned about the 15 hp but after taking a test drive I went for it anyhow. Are there any new owners out there or reviews that you may have heard?

Welcome to TBN. You will find lots of information here. There should be some BX1500 owners here but you may find that if you ask in the Kubota Buying discussion group you might get more replies. But to assure you, even though I drive blue, you got yourself a good tractor. And you will be surprised what 15 hp can do in a diesel.

I agree, 15 HP in a diesel tractor is way morepower than 15 HP in say, a gasoline powered lawn tractor. I have often suspected the horsepower ratings used in lawn tractor engines are kind of fake to begin with /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't know why that is, do they measure HP differently for a diesel than a gas engine for tractors? It is like night and day. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think it's like car/truck engines. A gas powered engine with the same HP as a diesel engine will not have near the torque. Torque is more a measure of pulling power and I think this is part of the difference.
