I just purchased my 2nd implement at an auction, a set of vineyard disks ($70.00) They are pretty rusty and there is grease fittings on the ends with some evidencse of old grease. Is there any maintenance besides greasing the ends?. The disks are in good shape, not bent or heavily worn. Is it worth the effort to remove the axle and separate the discs. Does the axle get greased also or leave it dry?.There doesn't seem to be any slop between the discs. There is a type of "small steering wheel" but it dosen't seem to move anything, it is all bolted together?
