Ballast Any idea what this tire filling is?

I drained a small sample out of my M59 tires. It didn’t have much taste. Kinda nasty like a rubber tire. It kinda smelled like alcohol but I couldn’t light it with a lighter. It’s not sticky either. It’s thicker than water too. Maybe like very thin paint.

Could easily be propylene glycol. Otherwise knows as RV antifreeze. Not toxic in small amounts to even ingest. Color is about right.

I just dipped my finger in it and touched it to my tongue. I wanted to see if it was salty. It wasn’t like I drank it.

The rv antifreeze I’ve seen is bright pink. This is pretty brown.

I guess it could’ve been watered down too to save cost.

Perhaps, but you can't water it down too much or it will raise its freezing point pretty quick. Of course that doesnt mean someone didn't do that. Pluss you live in TN, so 30 below zero is probably not too likely?

The rv antifreeze is rated to -50 I think. 0 is about as cold as it ever gets here.
